Rates and Rate Increase
We have continually tried to keep our rates affordable. It has been seven years since we have increased our rates.
We shut down briefly at the beginning of Covid, and funded the kennel to keep it open during the remainder of Covid. Our costs of supplies, dog food, repairs and payroll have all increased significantly during the past few years. For these reasons, we have implemented a rate increase.
We do not try to hide our rates as we have seen elsewhere. We have always tried not to nickel and dime our customers. Thus, you will see that we still do not charge extra for giving Medications, separating dogs to feed them, etc. You can check out our rates from the Boarding pages, Dog Park and Pasture Walk pages, etc.
Boarding Kennel
Southern Star Ranch Boarding Kennel is located on 60 acres in Central Texas, just a short but beautiful country drive away from Killeen, Georgetown, Harker Heights, Liberty Hill, Copperas Cove, Lampasas, Leander, Cedar Park, Burnet, Marble Falls, Temple, Bertram, Belton, Florence, Briggs & Austin, TX

Employees participate in a Pet Care Technician training program
Your pets are treated like we'd want our pets treated

Our Chuck Wagon serves a premium dog food by Victor (no corn, wheat or soy & gluten-free) Beef with Brown Rice.

Entertainment provided by cows, horses, goats, rabbits, road runners, lizards, frogs and an occasional deer
Daily Training for specific issues may be scheduled while boarding, based on availability of the Trainer.
